Refund Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy forms part of the Terms & Conditions for Liays Inc., operating as “Unisun Technology Institution” and “Smart Home Certification” (“we,” “our,” “us”).

Our goal is to provide high-quality training and a positive student experience. We understand circumstances can change, so this policy explains how refunds work for our online courses.


1. Eligibility for Refunds

A refund may be granted if all of the following conditions are met:

  • The student submits a refund request within 7 days of purchase, and

  • The student has completed less than 20% of the course, and

  • The student has not downloaded or accessed major proprietary materials, including but not limited to:

    • Textbooks

    • Worksheets & templates

    • Certification study guides

    • Final exams or evaluation modules

If these conditions are met, a refund will be processed to the original payment method.


2. Situations Where Refunds Are Not Available

Refunds will not be granted if any of the following apply:

  • More than 7 days have passed since the date of purchase

  • More than 20% of the course has been completed

  • Proprietary downloadable materials have been accessed

  • The student has been found in violation of the Terms & Conditions (e.g., account sharing or content redistribution)

These restrictions help protect our intellectual property and ensure fairness to all students.


3. Course Transfers and Deferrals

Instead of a refund, students may request course transfer or deferral under the following conditions:

Transfers and deferrals are subject to availability and must be approved by support.


4. Subscription or Membership Services (If Applicable)

If future programs include subscriptions or recurring memberships, cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
No prorated refunds will be issued for partially used periods.


5. Promotional Pricing

If a student enrolled using a discount, coupon, or promotional rate (such as holiday sales or limited-time pricing), the refund — if eligible — will be based on the amount actually paid, not the regular price.


6. Duplicate or Accidental Purchases

Refunds are available for accidental duplicate purchases, as long as:

  • The student reports the issue within 7 days, and

  • The course has not been accessed from both accounts


7. How to Request a Refund

All refund requests must be submitted by email:

The request must include:

  • Full name

  • Email used at checkout

  • Course purchased

  • Receipt or transaction ID

  • Reason for refund request

We will respond within 5 business days.


8. Chargebacks

If a student initiates a chargeback after accessing restricted or downloaded content, Liays Inc. reserves the right to:

  • Dispute the chargeback with evidence

  • Terminate course access

  • Revoke certificates issued

  • Ban future enrollment

We always encourage students to contact support before filing a dispute — most issues can be resolved quickly.


9. Exceptions Allowed by Law

If applicable laws in the student’s jurisdiction require more flexible refund rights, we will comply with the minimum requirements of those laws.


10. Policy Updates

This policy may be revised periodically. The most current version will always be available on the Site. Continued course access constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
